Research:
I work in the interdisciplinary research project HESCOR as a research assistant in the working group of Prof. Dr. Angela Kunoth. My work focuses on the calculation of an effective distance between archaeological sites using a least cost path analysis (LCPA). I employ Wavelet methods to accelerate the transformation and use of topographic data, which is used in the LCPA.
- In preparation: “Least Cost Path Analysis on a Cost-Map to connect Archaeological Sites using Wavelet Image Compression” (Working Title), Bachelor Thesis.
- Poster: L. Perlberg, M. Brockmann, “Creating migration networks based on archaeological data using least-cost-path analysis”, Rhein-Ruhr-Workshop, January 2025.
I am part of the mentoring program by Hypatia.Science, an initiative for the promotion of young female scientists at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Cologne.
